HPCL set for jatropha pact
(The Telegraph: Tue, 26 Dec) Raipur, Dec. 26 : After Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited has come forward to join hands with the Chhattisgarh government for commercial production of bio-diesel.

Tech's Bio-Diesel Generators To Go On Line
(WLUC TV 6: Thu, 21 Dec) Michigan Tech will soon have a backup power supply from four bio-diesel generators. They're expected to save Tech a half million dollars a year because during peak usage periods next year, Tech will turn off power from UPPCO, and instead turn on the bio-diesel generators.

Some biofuel works better than others

Terry Gross was interviewing Willie Nelson, who was talking about how his wife bought a diesel car a few years back and started using biofuel in it (recycled grease and oil, reconstituted into vegetable oil - that's biofuel?).

Jatropha: Thumbs up for bio-fuels

(Nasdaq: Tue, 19 Dec) Amelot Engineering and Development, a division of Amelot Holdings, Inc. (AMHD) announced that the Company has signed an agreement with Fitzsimmons Systems, Inc. to supply the Bio-Diesel processing system design and equipment for Amelot Alternative Energy, Inc.'sNew Hampshire facility.
